Liz Amuchastegui PT, DPT (“Uh-MOOCH-ah-STEH-gee”) received her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Regis University in 2015 with Alpha Sigma Nu honors. She seeks to give her patients the tools they need to learn to take care of their own bodies and get back to doing the things they love while addressing the root cause and preventing recurrences. She is skilled at treating hypermobile individuals and athletes and individuals seeking a quick but safe return to sport and activity. She has a keen eye for adverse movement patterns and uses a hands-on and detailed approach.
Before working as a physical therapist, Liz studied at Stanford University, and competed on the swim team, achieving two 2nd place individual NCAA Div I finishes and contributing to two 2nd place team finishes. She was also a 12-time NCAA All-american and 3-time Pac 10 champion. She went on to compete nationally and internationally, including three Olympic Trials and World University Games in China.
